Heinz is moving to SAP HANA because its old data strategy was putting the squeeze on efficiency

International condiment giant H.J. Heinz Company announced it has implemented Virtustream’s integrated cloud management service to help it deploy a platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and run production SAP’s in-memory compute platform, HANA, to support its data consolidation efforts. The firm said its data strategy didn’t quite cut the mustard before making the move.
