The winners of the Cloud Computing World Series Awards have been announced today. Among the companies recognised for their achievements are Microsoft, awarded the Best Cloud Service prize, Rackspace (Best SMB Product), Savvis (Best Enterprise Solution) and a host of other distinguishable names.

Now in its second year, the Cloud Computing World Series Awards are widely regarded as a benchmark for the best of the best in the cloud computing industry.
And while some of IT’s biggest-hitters have been awarded for their successes, other companies of note include Openstack, who have won the Best Start Up Award following 12 months of unprecedented success, and Pillar Data, who have been won the Best Cloud Storage Solution Award for their Axiom system.
The winners were selected by a panel of industry experts following the announcement of the awards shortlist last week.
Each company will be presented with their awards this afternoon, day one of the Cloud Computing World Forum.
