The Community Healthcare Network (CHN), a group of non-profit community health centres that provide medical, dental and social services throughout New York said that its centres have moved their productivity applications over to the cloud. Catherine Abate, CHN’s president and chief executive officer said the move will ensure its IT systems remain active during a crisis as the centres look to avoid a repeat of the challenges they encountered when Hurricane Sandy hit in 2012.

Practice Fusion secures $85m to fuel acquisitions, expansion

Practice Fusion, a provider of cloud-based EMR, big data and booking services secured an additional $15m Tuesday, bringing its total series D round haul to $85 million. The company said the new funds will fuel strategic acquisitions to help Practice Fusion keep its momentum.
