Coalition casts clouds over Asia

A group of 11 companies including operators and vendors formed the Asia Cloud Computing Association this week. But the protagonists seem to be throwing a party for those who want to enter the region and not necessarily the region stakeholders themselves.

Colt hooks up with Unisys for cloud services

Pan-European backbone network Colt has entered into a contract with IT services firm Unisys to deliver infrastructure, cloud management software and services to European customers. After the initial UK implementation, the companies intend to provide the services from an additional six data centres within Colt’s European network.

Cloud-based gaming service to hit networks in June

There’s been lots of talk recently about how network infrastructure, particularly in the mobile sector, is creaking under the weight of data traffic. Come June, traffic may increase significantly with the launch of a service that promises to revolutionise the gaming experience.
