TalkTalk is deploying Workday HCM, replacing its legacy HR information systems

UK telecoms service provider TalkTalk has adopted Workday’s cloud-based human capital management platform in a bid to streamline the company’s human resources operations.

The company has deployed Workday for HCM to help manage time tacking and recruitment processes for the company’s 2,500 employees.

TalkTalk said it was being held back by a legacy HR information system that was becoming unsustainable to support as the business grew, and that moving the platform to the cloud will help reduce the resource required to support its HR systems and applications.

“We pride ourselves on delivering innovative products and the best value and service to our customers. We take great care to deliver the same level of service for our people too, which is why we’re really excited to be introducing Workday,” said Nigel Sullivan, group HR, TalkTalk.

“Our employees are critical to our success, we are investing in Workday HCM to not only support our development and growth, but also to give us the workforce insights we need to better manage talent and help inform business decisions,” Sullivan said.

Sullivan said the move will give the HR department access to a single, consolidated source of information to enable faster and more robust decision-making.

“From sourcing to succession, Workday will help TalkTalk create and enrich the workforce it needs to support future growth and deliver business outcomes,” added Chano Fernandez, president of Workday in the EMEA region.

The TalkTalk deployment is the latest customer win for Workday, which has in recent months looked to bolster its presence in Europe. Travelex and Sanofi are among other high-profile companies to have migrated to the cloud-based HCM software in recent months.
