Tata Communications announced the expansion of its datacentre footprint in Germany, Austria, Australia and Malaysia

Telecoms and IT service provider Tata Communications announced Wednesday that the company  has struck partnerships with multiple datacentre operators to expand its datacentre footprint in Germany, Austria, Australia and Malaysia.

The company struck strategic partnerships with NEXTDC in Australia, Interxion in Germany and Austria, and Pacific Link Telecom (PLT) in Malaysia, which will see Tata expand its cloud, hosting and colocation business in those countries.

“As technologies evolve and newer trends like BYOD and video streaming become a central part of enterprise business needs, it is important to have these applications hosted on a global datacentre network to provide a uniform experience to the end-user,” said Srinivasan CR, Vice President, datacentre services, Tata Communications.

“Additionally, hosting applications in interconnected data centre enables the user to access the data from anywhere, anytime and on any device. Expanding our datacentre footprint forms part of our strategy to enable businesses with the most robust backbone for their organisations’ digital infrastructure,” he added.
