Security is one of, if not the most talked about issues in cloud computing today, primarily because many of the security issues common to traditional IT systems transfer directly to the cloud.

At the recent Cloud World Forum in London, Business Cloud News had the chance to speak with Jim Reavis, co-founder and executive director at the Cloud Security Alliance, a nonprofit association of cloud service providers looking to help develop security standards and best practice around cloud computing.

Reavis believes that – particularly in light of the recent PRISM scandal – cloud service providers need to be more transparent with their practices around security, and that new regulation designed to bolster security in the cloud isn’t necessarily the answer.
